Gridlogics announces new version of Patent iNSIGHT Pro with Contour Maps and much more
September 24, 2012, Pune India – Gridlogics, a patent analytics solutions specialist is pleased to announce the launch of a new version of Patent iNSIGHT Pro that includes contour landscapes in its VizMAP contextual clustering module. The new release incorporate much of the feedback received from corporate and individual users of the product.
Details of key improvements made are as follows :-
- Contour maps now in VizMAP: As you know contextual clustering has always been available using the “Context Mode” of VizMAP. In the new release all Context mode maps can now be rendered over a contour map. There are two contour themes available: “Map” and “Terrain” that allow you to display the same result in different background coloring.

- Color by Legal Status option in Family tree: Individual family members can now be automatically colored based on analysis of their INPADOC legal status. You can also add your own nodes to a generated map and reconnect existing nodes as per your needs. Different colors are given for different active and inactive status. (E.g. Inactive due to Expiry, Non-payment, Opposition, Withdrawn etc)
- Support for Per-record Attachments: Now you can save any number of attachments (docs, images, emails) per record within a report. An attachments tab within the Patent Viewer has been added to viewing and launching the saved attachments.
- Custom Fields are now searchable in Advanced Search: All custom fields in your report can now be searched in Advanced Search. The search field name is same as the custom field name and for existing reports you also need to re-index your report before searching by custom fields.
- Cumulative Analysis in Co-occurrence Analyzer: Addition of Time (Cumulative) field in matrix column allows you to generate matrix with any field in Row and Absolute and Cumulative progressing values in Column.
- Patent Viewer gets more informative and powerful- We have reorganized the display of patent information in Patent Viewer to make it more useful. So while viewing any record in Patent Viewer, you can also see the categories it falls into right from the main detailed view now. You retain the same family when you switch views and you can also normalise your categories across all family members in the same report using a single click.
